Sample Building Report
Our building inspection includes:
• Full inspection + detailed written report
• Risk assessment (Red / Orange/ Green priority levels)
• 30–60 min phone consultation to walk you through the report
• If needed, we can help recommend an independent maintenance contractor company that you can contact directly for guidance on potential repair options and estimate cost ranges
Our goal is not just to identify issues and provide a building report, but to give you more support—helping you clearly understand which issues truly matter, avoid buying the wrong property, prevent unexpected high repair costs—so you can make confident decisions whether to proceed, renegotiate, or walk away.
Please also find samples of our pre-purchase building reports. Our inspectors have NZIBS Certificate in Residential Property Inspection and InterNACHI CPI (Certified Professional Inspectors), helping you make confident decisions when purchasing a property.
Our role is simple:
👉 Identify hidden risks before you commit
👉 Help you avoid costly mistakes
👉 Give you leverage to negotiate the price
We follow the New Zealand Standard NZS 4306:2005, and a typical inspection (around 1.5 hours on-site) covers:
• Roofing system
• Exterior cladding
• Subfloor and foundation
• Interior moisture risks (bathroom, kitchen, bedrooms)
• Roof space and other critical areas
Curious what a full building report looks like? We’ve included a real sample used in Hamilton to help you understand what our comprehensive pre-purchase building inspections cover.
Our reports are detailed, easy to read, and trusted by home buyers, real estate agents, and banks across New Zealand.
